After obtaining his degree in Scenography in 1993 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Roma, Andrea Miglio worked as an assistant designer for variety shows for  television networks Mediaset and RAI.

In 1996 he won a grant to attend a course for designing at the Teatro alla Scala.

Since 2000 he has appeared in Italy and around the world as a set designer for many operas and ballets including La Vista Meravigliosa, Il Campanello, Le Villi, Aïda, Otello, Turandot, Dido and Aeneas, Tosca, Lucia di Lammermoor, Rigoletto and Salomè.

Since 1997 he has worked in the Technical Direction Department of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and was appointed as Deputy Technical Director in 2015.
